On each order recalculation (only when Use Discount Levels is on) the commission is
built in three steps:

  1. The order totals its List and Net prices and derives the Net:List ratio.
  2. For each assigned scheme a rate is resolved — by matrix (looked up on the Net:List ratio) or by the scheme’s flat rate.
  3. Each rate is multiplied by the order’s Net price; the three results are summed into the total commission.
Net:List ratio = Net price ÷ List price
rate             = matrix( Net:List ratio )    ← matrix scheme
| scheme flat rate ← rate scheme
commission = rate × Net price (per scheme)
Total commission = product + shipping + installation

The resulting total is saved on the order as its commission value.

Good to know

  • If Use Discount Levels is off, the order is not recomputed — the stored commission value is shown as-is.
  • The commission figure is hidden entirely from users who lack the view-commission right.
  • On the mobile app only by-rate schemes take effect; the matrix path is not active there, so use flat-rate schemes for mobile-sold orders.
