These lists feed combos on the customer form (Customer Service → Customer
Management
): Currency and Payment on the Financials pane, Route and
Drop on the Ship To address. There is no screen to edit any of these lists today, nor the country
or company weekends and holidays; your OpenJanela administrator sets them up.

Currency and exchange rates

  • The customer’s Currency is copied to each new quote or order.
  • When a quote, order or sales receipt is printed, the system looks up the exchange rate to the
customer’s currency dated on or before the day the order was entered, and passes it to the
report. Report layouts that support it multiply the amounts by that rate. If no rate is found the
    amounts print unconverted.
  • No automatic rate update was found; rates are entered by the administrator.

Payment methods

The list of ways a customer pays (for example Cash, Check, Credit Card, Debit Card). It is offered when
you record a deposit or payment. With Check the bank and cheque number are recorded with the payment,
with Credit Card the card details. The Payment combo on the customer is stored only; payment screens do not pre-select
it.

Ship routes and drops

Setting What it does
Route (description) Chosen on the customer’s Ship To address and copied
to new documents with the address.
Weekday The day the truck runs: 1 = Monday … 7 = Sunday; 0 = any
working day. The scheduler only ships on that weekday, skipping weekends and holidays.
Drop and its lead time A stop on the route. Its lead time is the working
days from shipping to delivery.

Scheduling an order for delivery (not pickup) needs a route and a drop on the ship-to address, or you
get “Order Shipping Route is not valid” / “Order Shipping Drop # is not valid”.
The scheduler takes the earliest possible shipping date, moves it forward to the next day that matches the
route weekday and is not a weekend or holiday, and sets delivery = shipping date + the drop lead time in
working days. If the shipping date ends up after the date required, a shipping-date warning is
shown.

Weekends and holidays

  • Country weekends: two weekday numbers per country (e.g. 6 and 7 = Saturday and Sunday).
If the ship-to country has no entry, no day is treated as a weekend.
  • Country holidays: month and day, repeated every year on the same date. Holidays that move
(e.g. Easter) must be re-entered each year.
  • Company weekends and holidays (per customer or supplier): a new customer gets Saturday and
Sunday. They are used only when the customer’s scheduling preferences say “use own
weekends / holidays”, which nothing in the application turns on today, so the country lists
    apply.

They are used for the Date Required of new documents, every lead time the scheduler counts in working
days, route days, supplier forward-schedule dates, and the working-day windows of the
Production Control Board (which uses your company’s own
weekends or holidays when it has any, otherwise those of its address country, otherwise Saturday and
Sunday).

Check your countryIf your country has no weekend
entry, Saturdays and Sundays count as working days in all date calculations. Ask your administrator to
add the country’s weekends and holidays.
Not this calendarThe Holidays table on sales
team, sales partner and service team calendars is a separate resource calendar. It does not change the
country or company holidays used for order dates.
