Rule of thumb
If an order goes directly to shipping (it does not physically flow through production),
turn OFF the Gen Shipping flag on the production lines it would otherwise be routed to.

What Gen Shipping does

When Gen Shipping is set on a Production Line (the same flag also exists on a
Series), the scheduling and batch engine auto-generates the shipping step for
assemblies on that line: it creates the Confirmed Assemblies Shipped records and marks the
assemblies ready to ship through the production path, rather than waiting for them to be
produced and shipped by the normal shop-floor flow.

Why turn it off for direct-to-shipping

If the order is already being sent straight to shipping, leaving Gen Shipping on means the
production path also tries to generate the shipping records for the same assemblies — so the
item can be shipped/closed twice or leave conflicting shipped records. Switching Gen Shipping
off on those production lines leaves shipping to the direct-to-shipping flow alone.

Where to set it
Production Line setup — the Gen Shipping flag (stored as gen_shipping).
Check the Series setup too, which carries the same flag. Both feed the scheduling and batch
run, so the change takes effect on the next schedule/batch for the order.
