How Can We Help?
Line items on an order can be put in any order you like. There are two ways to
do it, and they do exactly the same thing.
| Way | How | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Drag and drop | Press and hold on a line in the item list, drag it over the line you want it to sit at, and release. The row you are carrying is shown under the cursor, and the line you are about to drop onto is outlined. |
Any move, especially a long one — the distance makes no difference to the effort. |
| Up / down arrows | The ▲ and ▼ buttons on the line move it one position per click. |
Nudging a line one or two places. |
After the move the list is rebuilt and the line you moved stays selected and in view,
so you can see where it landed.
Line numbers are the order
A line item’s number is its position — there is no separate sort setting. Moving a
line therefore renumbers it and everything it passes, and the item numbers you see will
change accordingly. This is also why a move is not instant: each step renumbers the item and
its design records together, so a long drag takes a moment to complete. The screen is disabled
while it runs.
