Once lines, stations and parts exist, finish the shop-floor side: which cut piece gets the unit’s
label, the saw codes for each profile, and the station view, the screen an operator scans units on at a
station (cutting, welding, glazing, QC, packing).

Before you start

Steps: profile positions (where the label goes)

  1. Open Administration and Setup → OJ Setup → PRODUCTION → Profile Positions.
  2. Pick the Production Line and Station.
  3. Add a row: Part ID, Shape ID, Opening ID, Position ID (all required; 0 means
    “any” for shape and opening). Position IDs: 1 Top 1, 2 Top 2, 3 Top 3, 4 Right, 5 Bottom 1, 6 Bottom 3, 7 Bottom 2,
8 Left. With no rows, a rectangle labels its left piece.

Steps: profile saw codes (only if your saw export uses them)

  1. PRODUCTION → Profile Saw Code, pick the Production Line and Station (“Select a
    Production Line and Station first.”).
  2. Add rows of Part ID, Position ID and Saw Code.

Steps: station views

  1. PRODUCTION → Station Views, Views tab, click New.
  2. Pick the Station and the View Class (the kind of screen: QC, cutting, machining, welding, assembly,
packing, feeder, manufacturing). Type the Description: it becomes the operator’s screen title.
  3. Optional: Avg Time (expected seconds per unit; turns on the work timer), Display BOM,
Mass Production, UOM, Warehouse ID, Location ID, Rack ID, Bin ID,
Machine ID and Directory (where machine files are written), Process Status ID (the status a
completed scan moves the work to). Save.
  4. Config tab only for a device on a serial port (Comm Port, Baud Rate…). Options tab: which
options the view shows, with Display Order, Tier and Collapse If Default.

Which kind of view for which station

Station View
Saw, machining centre, welder, assembly bench Cutting, machining, welding or assembly view: shows
the unit’s work and, with Display BOM, its parts; writes the machine file when a machine is set.
Quality check QC view: walks the operator through accept or reject with a reject code.
Packing Packing view: box checklist; its scans drive “ready to ship”.
Material staging Feeder view.
ID boxes are plain numbersPart ID, Shape ID, Warehouse ID and the
other ID boxes are not checked against the lists. A wrong number saves without a warning and simply never matches.

Check it worked

  • As an operator user, open Production Management → Production Stations View, pick the line, the
station and your view: it opens with your description as its title.
  • After the smoke-test batch is finalized, scan a unit at the view: it shows the unit, and the Production Status
Board moves it to the next station.
  • On an optimized cut list, the labelled piece is the one you set in Profile Positions.
