How Can We Help?
A commission scheme is a named rule for turning an order into a commission rate. Every
scheme is one of two mutually-exclusive kinds:
| Kind | How the rate is determined |
|---|---|
| By rate | A single flat rate entered on the scheme (e.g. 0.05 = 5%). It is applied directly, as a fraction — not a percentage to be divided by 100. |
| By matrix | A rate matrix returns a variable rate, typically looked up by the Net:List ratio (plus any other axes you build into the matrix). If a matrix is selected it takes precedence over the flat rate. |
A rep can carry three separate schemes, so product, freight and installation can each
be commissioned differently:
| Scheme | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Product commission | The main scheme for the product value of the order. |
| Shipping commission | An additional scheme for the shipping portion. |
| Installation commission | An additional scheme for the installation portion. |
All three apply to the whole order net
In the current build each of the three schemes multiplies the full order net price — the
shipping and installation schemes are not applied only to the shipping/installation
sub-totals. If you assign all three, their rates add together against the same net figure.
