How Can We Help?
OpenJanela can calculate a sales commission on every order. The commission is
driven by the price the customer actually pays and by how deeply that price was discounted
from list. This chapter explains the pieces — the sales rep, the commission
scheme, the optional rate matrix, and the Net:List ratio — and how they
combine into a commission figure.
The moving parts
| Piece | What it is |
|---|---|
| Sales rep | A user flagged as a sales resource for a partner/branch. Each rep is assigned the commission scheme(s) that apply to their orders. |
| Commission scheme | A named rule that turns an order into a commission rate. A scheme is either a single flat rate or a rate matrix (not both). |
| Rate matrix | A lookup table returning a variable commission rate. Its most common axis is the Net:List ratio, so a deeper discount can pay a lower rate. |
| Net:List ratio | The realized discount factor for the order — net price ÷ list price. This is the value a rate matrix looks up (see below). |
