How Can We Help?
OJ Setup (Administration) is where product configuration is maintained. Its side menu
groups the screens; the PRODUCT SETUP group holds Options, Parts,
Matrix, Series, and Sub-Routines. This part covers Series,
Sub-Routines, Options, and Matrix. Click the ☰ button at the top of the menu to
collapse it to an icon rail when a wide screen (like Matrix) needs the room.
How every screen works
- Master list on the left with a Search box that filters the list live
(case-insensitive) as you type. - Detail on the right. Selecting a row displays it read-only — nothing is
editable until you press New or Edit. - New / Edit / Save / Cancel / Delete buttons (plus Copy on some screens).
Save and Cancel exist only while editing. - Unsaved-changes guard: clicking another row mid-edit asks “Cancel Entry?”
— answering No returns to what you were editing. - IDs are never typed — the server assigns every ID on save.
- Numeric fields are lenient: a blank or non-numeric entry saves as 0 with
no warning. Double-check numbers before saving. - Most fields have a small ⓘ / (?) icon — hover it for a one-line explanation.
- Many dimensions are stored in both metric and imperial; a Metric/Imperial switch
(where present) only changes which copy you are editing — both are saved.
Where the data lives
Everything these screens show comes out of two database scopes. The screens themselves
never talk to the database directly — they call REST services that read and write these
tables. (Table contents below were verified against the live database, July 2026.)
| Scope | What it holds | How it changes |
|---|---|---|
Global schema openjanela |
Shared type_* dictionaries — rule types, test types, positions, conditions, shapes, opening types, option types, matrix types — identical for every company. |
Seeded reference data installed by migration scripts; not editable from these screens. Changing it by hand would affect every company at once. |
Tenant schema openjanela_partner_* |
Per-company data: series, sub-routines, rules, options & choices, matrices, categories, price/cost groups, production lines. |
This is what the OJ Setup screens create, edit, and delete. Each company has its own schema, so one company’s series never appear in another’s. |
