How Can We Help?
Parts reach a station through the rule list itself: a set station rule names a station, and
every part rule after it goes to that station until the next set station rule. set production line
works the same way for lines. Stations and lines are created in
Production Stations setup and Production Line
setup.
Example: frame labour in SD FRAME LABOR (series 361)
All rules are at All Frame. Read it top to bottom:
| Rule | Rule Type → Value 1 | Test | Parts land on |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | set production line → 3501 | SERIES = 3501 | line for 3501 units |
| 5 | set production line → 3500 | SERIES = 3500 | line for 3500 units |
| 196 | set station → Painting Station | COLOUR Is Not White | |
| 197, 198 | Part: Paint Mainframe, Wrap Painted Materials | Is Not White | Painting Station |
| 199 | set station → Rebar Cutting Station | Is Not White | |
| 200 | Part: Cut Reinforcement Steel | none | Rebar Cutting — but see the warning |
| 201 → 202 | set station Frame Cutting Station → Cut Mainframe | none | Frame Cutting Station |
| 203 → 204–208 | set station Frame Welding Station → weld labour parts | none | Frame Welding Station |
| 211 → 212 | set station QC Station → Quality Inspection | QC Station | |
| 213 → 214–216 | set station Loading Station → shipping parts | Loading Station |
In shop words: to send the paint labour to the paint shop, rule 196 sets the Painting Station on the frame, at All
Frame, when the colour is not White; rules 197 and 198 directly below it land there.
Steps
- Find the place in the list where the group of parts starts. Select the rule just above and click Insert
(or New if the group goes at the end). - Rule Type: set station. Value 1: the station. Level: the same level as the parts that
follow (this is the usual practice). Usually no test. - Save. Put the station’s parts directly below it. Start the next station’s parts with the next
set station rule. - Lines: one set production line rule near the top, with a test if different products go to different
lines. - Build an item and open its BOM: selecting a line shows its Prod. Line and Station (as numbers).
Real case, 2026-10-27: door sash beads at the wrong stationIn
3501 Sash GB (series 344), rule 50 is the set station rule for 1210 Bead Cutting Station. It had been
left inactive, so the 3501 door sash beads below it kept the station set earlier — 1028 “Swing
Door Frame Frame & Sash Installation” — and showed up there instead of at Bead Cutting. Ticking
Active on rule 50 puts them back. When parts show up at a surprising station, look for the nearest
set station rule above them and check it is active and its test fits.

A failed station test keeps the old stationA set station
rule whose test does not fit changes nothing. In 361, rule 199 (Rebar Cutting) only fires for non-White units but
rule 200 has no test, so on a White unit “Cut Reinforcement Steel” goes to whatever station was set
earlier. Give the part the same test, or add a station rule without a test.

Sub-routines and glassRules inside a sub-routine run at the point
where the calling rule sits, so a station set before the call carries into it, and one set inside it carries on
after it. Glass takes its station the same way: Sealed Units (38) rule 85 sets the Glazing Station and the
protection film in rule 86 lands there. In 3500 PW GB (465), rule 40 sets the Glazing Station before the glass bridges
and the glazing labour rules 86–89, so they all go there.
