The Knowledge Base is your own company’s question-and-answer library,
kept inside OpenJanela. You write the questions your staff actually ask — “How do I ship a
back-ordered item?”, “Which series do we use for a coastal wind zone?” — and the answers
your company wants given. Two audiences read it: your people, who browse it in this same
User Manual window, and the AI assistant, which searches it when someone asks it a
question.

It is separate from the manual you are reading now. This manual ships with OpenJanela and
describes the product; the Knowledge Base is yours, is editable in-house, and is visible only
to your company.

Where to find it
Click the book icon (User Manual) on the main toolbar, then choose the
My Knowledge Base tab. The left-hand list is every entry; clicking one shows its
answer on the right.

What an entry is made of

Field What it is for
Question The title, and what people search on. Required. Write it the way a colleague would
ask it, not as a category label — “How do I void an invoice?” beats
“Invoice voiding”.
Category Optional grouping, e.g. Shipping, Pricing. Free text.
Answer The body, written in a formatting editor: bold, colours, bullet and numbered lists,
headings, links and inline pictures.
Attachments Whole documents and videos (PDF, Word, Excel, MP4 …) kept alongside the
entry.
