How Can We Help?
Parts are kept in OpenJanela and sent to Odoo. Prices of windows and doors
are worked out by OpenJanela and arrive in Odoo on each quote line.
Add or change a part
- In OpenJanela open OJ Setup > Parts (or the stock record), add or change the
part and save. Give it a supplier that exists in Odoo. - A few seconds later it is an Odoo product with the same code, name, unit and cost, in
the category OpenJanela / <part family>. Parts imported or created another
way are picked up within about 5 minutes.
Example. You add stock code BEAD-01, family Glazing Beads, cost 1.20,
supplier Acme Extrusions. In Odoo a product BEAD-01 appears under
OpenJanela / Glazing Beads, cost 1.20, vendor Acme Extrusions.
Which side wins
- OpenJanela wins on name, cost, unit and category: a change made in Odoo to one of those is
overwritten at the next OpenJanela save. A cost of zero in OpenJanela never clears the Odoo
cost. - A product created only in Odoo never comes into OpenJanela. If OpenJanela needs it,
create the part in OpenJanela with the same code; the two are linked by the code. - Deleting a part in OpenJanela archives the Odoo product.
- Sized items the configurator makes (sealed units, glass, grids) are not sent as parts;
they go with each order’s bill of materials.
Prices of windows and doors
Series, options, price tables and costing stay in OpenJanela. The price on an Odoo quote
line is the OpenJanela net price for that customer (dealer prices included) and cannot be
changed in Odoo; to change it, change the item in OpenJanela (Edit in OpenJanela).
When a part has no supplier in Odoo
The order’s bill of materials is not sent and the Odoo order shows a note such as
Parts without a supplier in Odoo: BEAD-01 (no supplier). Give the part a supplier that
exists in Odoo, then save the quote again or ask the administrator to press Retry
failed on the Odoo tab. Labour and service parts need no supplier.
