Small ⓘ buttons across OpenJanela explain what a screen, field or
button does, without leaving the screen. The in-app assistant can also tell you how to do a
task, step by step.

Where the ⓘ buttons appear

  • In the toolbar, next to the screen title — explains the whole screen.
  • Next to a field or option — for example Job Type, Warranty, and the Install
and Egress indicators on an order line.
  • In a dialog header — for example the deposit dialog and Apply Credit Notes.
  • On the order-list row buttons (Copy, Delete, Place Order, Confirm, Revert, and so
on) there is no extra icon: the help text is added to the button’s hover tooltip,
below the button name. Tooltips disappear after a few seconds; hover again to re-read.
  • In the web configurator — on the Mullions pane and in the Save design
    dialog header.
  • In the item designer (Swing) — beside the Install checkbox at the top.

What clicking does

A small box opens under the button with a title and two to five lines: what the feature
does, when to use it and what it changes. Where a fuller explanation exists the box ends with
More…, which opens this manual at the matching section (in the web configurator
it opens in a new browser tab). Close the box with Esc, the ×, or by
clicking elsewhere. Only one box is open at a time.

Coverage grows
Help is being added one module at a time, order entry first. A screen or field
without help simply shows no ⓘ button — that is expected, not a fault. The help
follows the application language; where a translation is missing, English is shown. The web
configurator is English only for now.

Asking the assistant “how do I…”

In the AI Assistant, type a how-to question such as “How do I revert an order to a
quote?”
. The assistant searches three places — the built-in help, this manual and
your company’s Knowledge Base — and answers with the steps:
which screen to open, which button to press, what each choice does and what changes
afterwards. It names the manual section so you can read more.

  • If it finds nothing relevant it says so rather than guessing. Rephrase the question
using the words shown on screen, or add the answer to the Knowledge Base.
  • Company-specific practice (your own rules and routines) comes from the Knowledge Base;
see How the AI assistant uses it.
  • If your administrator has customised the assistant’s instructions, it may not follow the
step-by-step style, though it can still search.
